Dear Partners,

We are pleased to invite you to the upcoming 2024 Shenzhen International Low Carbon City Forum (SILCC Forum). The SILCC Forum is sponsored by the People's Government of Shenzhen and organized by the Shenzhen Development and Reform Commission, the Ecology Environment Bureau of Shenzhen Municipal, and the People's Government of Shenzhen Longgang District. The forum has been successfully held for eleven sessions and has attracted over ten thousand guests from more than 60 countries and regions, allowing open discussions and the sharing of wisdom. It has become an internationally renowned and influential platform in the field of green and low-carbon development. The SILCC Forum serves as a platform to promote green development concepts, showcase China's commitment and progress in achieving carbon neutrality through Shenzhen, and foster practical international cooperation.

The 2024 Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality Forum & Shenzhen International Low Carbon City Forum is scheduled to be held in late October 2024 in Shenzhen. During this period, several parallel forums and supporting activities will be organized, including the main forum. We will invite government officials, experts, scholars, representatives of international organizations, and renowned entrepreneurs in the field to engage with attendees on current hot topics, cutting-edge technologies, and successful case studies.

01 Parallel Forums Call for Organizers

· Green Transportation Forum

China's transportation sector has entered a green development phase focused on carbon reduction, enhancing synergistic effects between pollution and carbon reduction while promoting the full digital transformation of smart transportation and smart cities. This forum aims to advance the development practices of "innovation, green development, digital intelligence, and integration" in the transportation sector. It will explore multiple fields and aspects such as autonomous driving, connectivity, green and low-carbon transportation, and the development of a country with strong transportation network (specific topics can be proposed by the organizer).

· Green Consumption Forum

With the advancement of China's carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals, the society's focus on sustainable development has reached an unprecedented level. As the primary supply-side entities of green and new consumption, enterprises face "sustainability" as an essential question in their path to high-quality development. This forum aims to collectively explore innovative practices and successful experiences in nurturing green development concepts and advocating green consumption behaviors in China, further invigorating the domestic consumer market and fostering a favorable environment for the growth of new types of consumption (specific topics can be proposed by the organizer).

· Urban Planning Forum

The forum aims to promote the exchange of theories and practices in urban and rural planning, foster mutual development between academia and industry, enhance the quality of planning education, and serve national strategies and social needs. Topics may include ecological protection and green low-carbon development in urban and rural areas, urban cluster planning and regional coordinated development, protection and inheritance of urban and rural historical culture, and planning and construction of ecologically livable rural areas (specific topics can be proposed by the organizer).
