The Sixth Session

On September 26, the 6th Shenzhen International Low Carbon City Forum, with the theme of “Insisting on the Road of Sustainable Innovation and Pursuing High-Quality Green Development”, kicked off at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center. More than 1,000 guests from around the world, including government officials, renowned experts and scholars, representatives of international organizations, famous enterprises and media organizations, gathered to discuss in depth the topics of transforming the mode of development, adjusting the economic structure and developing green economy.

Mark D. Levine, a researcher at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in the United States, and Zhu Xiaoming, Director of the Nationalities and Religions Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Congress, Former Director of the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, and Former Mayor of Zhenjiang City, were honoured with the “2018 Prominent Person of the BlueSky Award in Global Green and Low-carbon Field” at the 2018 BlueSky Award Ceremony in Global Green and Low-carbon Field. Lyon (France), Chengdu (China) and Shenzhen (China) were honored with the 2018 “Pioneer City of the BlueSky Award in the Global Green and Low-carbon Field”.

On September 26, 2018, the Shenzhen Green Low Carbon Industry Expo held the opening ceremony. The main leaders present visited the exhibition hall, where the “Green and Low Carbon Shenzhen Achievements” became the biggest highlight and attracted great attention from all sides.

The French Theme Day - green public welfare cycling activity was held in Shenzhen OCT Wetland Park. SUNTRIP team shared their story of cycling from Lyon to China, and advocated the green, low-carbon and energy-saving travelling mode with practical actions.
