The Tenth Session

On December 12, 2022, the 2022 Carbon Peak and Neutrality Forum and Shenzhen International Low Carbon City Forum (hereinafter referred to as the Forum) was officially opened in Shenzhen International Low Carbon City. Su Wei, Deputy Secretary General of the National Development and Reform Commission, Zhao Yingmin, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and Zhang Hu, Executive Vice Governor of Guangdong Province, delivered speeches via video, while Qin Weizhong, Mayor of Shenzhen, attended the opening ceremony of the Forum and delivered a speech.

The Second Batch of Near-Zero Carbon Emission Zone Pilot Projects of Shenzhen was successfully released, which was one step closer to reaching the target of 100 pilot projects by 2025, and the four Near-Zero Carbon Emission Zone Pilot Projects serviced by China Emissions Exchange were successfully shortlisted in the list of 28 Pilot Projects.

The successful signing of the first batch of “PHCER Transactions” in Shenzhen marked the official landing of the PHCER Transaction products based on the Shenzhen PHCER System of China Emissions Exchange.

Three major projects were signed at the conference, including the large-scale and centralized signing by aggregators of Shenzhen virtual power plants, the signing of the Science and Technology Headquarters project of China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group for settling in Longgang District as well as the signing of the intelligent energy construction - comprehensive cooperation agreement between Shenzhen Gas and Huawei Digital Power to promote urban low-carbon.

The awarding ceremony of the “2022 Urban Green and Low Carbon Scenario Demonstration Base” was held, and 8 projects, including the Nanshan Energy Ecological Park of SE Environment, Future Complex of China Academy of Building Research, China Emissions Exchange, etc., were awarded the title of demonstration base, which once again advocated green and low carbon, promoted the green transformation of production and life, and accelerated the development of a green and low carbon city.

Zhang Hua, Vice Mayor of Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government, Yu Jing, Deputy Director of the Development and Reform Commission of Shenzhen Municipality, leaders of the Ecology Environment Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality, and leaders of Longgang District Party Committee and Government participated in the pavilion tour of the 2022 China International Energy Conservation and Low Carbon Industry Expo.
