Jiao Fengshun: Roadshow helps bring innovation from lab to market 焦丰顺:路演助力创新从实验室走向市场

At the 2025 Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality Forum & Shenzhen National Low-Carbon City Forum , technical expert Jiao Fengshun from Shenzhen Power Supply Co,. Ltd. shared his project, Engineering Practice and Standardization Exploration of Grid-forming Energy Storage Technology, during the roadshow session.

在2025碳达峰碳中和论坛暨深圳国家低碳城论坛的路演环节中,深圳供电局有限公司的技术专家焦丰顺分享了他的项目《构网型储能技术的工程实践与标准化探索》。

 

A long-time reviewer of the forum’s innovation roadshow, Jiao said the roadshow model has proven to be an effective bridge connecting research, industry, and application.

作为该论坛创新路演的长期评审专家,焦丰顺表示,路演模式已被证明是连接科研、产业与应用的桥梁。

 

 

 

“The concept of a roadshow is a great way to promote real-world cooperation,” Jiao said. “It gathers people from government, enterprises, and users in one space, creating a moment for innovators to showcase their brightest ideas. Especially in the low-carbon field, participants come with goals and needs — this interaction often sparks new collaborations and accelerates industrialization.”

“路演是推动实质性合作的绝佳形式,”他表示,“它将政府、企业和用户汇聚在同一空间,为创新者提供了展示智慧的舞台。特别是在低碳领域,参与者都带着明确的目标和需求——这样的互动往往能催生新的合作,加速产业化进程。”

 

This year, Jiao not only served as a reviewer but also took the stage as a presenter. His project focuses on grid-forming energy storage technology, a cutting-edge solution developed over five years to address two critical challenges in renewable energy integration — the instability of power generation and poor power quality of renewables like wind and solar.

今年,他不仅担任评审,更亲自登台路演。其展示的构网型储能前沿技术方案,历经五年攻关,旨在解决风能、太阳能等可再生能源接入电网的两大核心难题——发电不稳定与电能质量较差。

 

According to Jiao, grid-forming technology is emerging as a key enabler in the new energy transition. "We are indeed in an era of energy transformation. To achieve carbon neutrality, our energy systems are undergoing a large-scale transition," Jiao told Shenzhen Daily.

焦丰顺指出,构网型技术正成为驱动能源转型的核心引擎。他对《深圳日报》表示,“我们正身处能源转型的时代。要实现碳中和,能源系统必须经历大规模变革。”

 

“The National Energy Administration’s latest recommendations list grid-forming as the top technology for future power systems,” Jiao noted. “It will become an embedded, universal solution for ensuring stability in digital grids and integrated energy systems.”

“国家能源局最新指导意见已将构网技术列为未来电力系统的首要支撑技术。它将成为确保数字电网和综合能源系统稳定运行的底层通用解决方案。”

 

Jiao also highlighted that energy storage should no longer be viewed as a supporting player. As renewables reach higher penetration levels, grid stability increasingly depends on storage. “When large-scale blackouts hit Portugal and Spain this year, renewables accounted for over 70% of generation at the fault moment — exceeding the system’s stability threshold,” he said. “At that point, only storage can respond fast enough. There’s no alternative.”

焦丰顺还强调,储能不应再被视为配角。随着可再生能源渗透率不断提升,电网稳定将日益依赖储能。他提到:“今年葡萄牙和西班牙发生大规模停电事故时,可再生能源发电占比超过70%——这已超出系统稳定阈值。那一刻,唯有储能能够实现瞬时响应,舍此别无他法。”

 

Jiao, who has worked on smart grids, fusion energy storage, and virtual power plants, believes grid-forming storage will become a “rising star” technology. “Leading Chinese companies are now deeply engaged,” he said. “This technology isn’t limited to storage — it can also apply to wind farms, photovoltaics, and microgrids.”

长期深耕智能电网、融合储能与虚拟电厂领域的焦丰顺预测,构网型储能将成为技术“新星”。“目前国内龙头企业已深度布局,”他透露,“这项技术不仅适用于储能,同样能赋能风电场、光伏电站和微电网系统。”
